Our client is an American-based MNC headquartered in Silicon Valley. They have more than 13,000 employees worldwide. Currently looking for a Manager to oversee the Engineering department in their Mak Mandin facility.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Lead the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing
    processes to improve yield, throughput, cycle time, and cost performance
  • Drive systematic identification and elimination of process bottlenecks, variability, and
    waste across wafer fabrication and/or assembly operations
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies to enhance
    operational stability and scalability
  • Oversee value stream optimization initiatives to improve end-to-end flow and
    manufacturing efficiency
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to yield, defect density, cycle time, equipment
    utilization, and cost of quality
  • Utilize statistical and analytical tools (SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, Kappa, capability analysis)
    to validate process control and sustain improvements
  • Translate complex production and quality data into actionable insights for senior
    leadership
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Process Integration, Equipment Engineering, Quality, Supply
    Chain, and Product Engineering to align process capability with technology roadmaps and
    customer requirements
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and technology transfers by ensuring robust,
    repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processes
  • Facilitate alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders to accelerate
    execution
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and
    quality management systems
  • Oversee documentation integrity, including SOPs, control plans, and process
    specifications
  • Lead internal audits and sustain control mechanisms to maintain operational discipline
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff to strengthen analytical
    rigor and problem-solving capabilities
  • Build organizational capability in Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methodologies
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-based decision making
  • Develop succession planning and technical leadership pipelines within the engineering
    organization

 

A QUALIFIED CANDIDATE

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master’s Degree or MBA is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing industries ideally from semiconductor or optical
    communications
  • Proficient in process improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing,
    Six Sigma, Kaizen and TPM
  • Proficient in CAD software
