Our client is an American-based MNC headquartered in Silicon Valley. They have more than 13,000 employees worldwide. Currently looking for a Manager to oversee the Engineering department in their Mak Mandin facility.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing
processes to improve yield, throughput, cycle time, and cost performance - Drive systematic identification and elimination of process bottlenecks, variability, and
waste across wafer fabrication and/or assembly operations - Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies to enhance
operational stability and scalability - Oversee value stream optimization initiatives to improve end-to-end flow and
manufacturing efficiency - Establish and monitor KPIs related to yield, defect density, cycle time, equipment
utilization, and cost of quality - Utilize statistical and analytical tools (SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, Kappa, capability analysis)
to validate process control and sustain improvements - Translate complex production and quality data into actionable insights for senior
leadership - Partner with Manufacturing, Process Integration, Equipment Engineering, Quality, Supply
Chain, and Product Engineering to align process capability with technology roadmaps and
customer requirements - Support new product introduction (NPI) and technology transfers by ensuring robust,
repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processes - Facilitate alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders to accelerate
execution - Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and
quality management systems - Oversee documentation integrity, including SOPs, control plans, and process
specifications - Lead internal audits and sustain control mechanisms to maintain operational discipline
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff to strengthen analytical
rigor and problem-solving capabilities - Build organizational capability in Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methodologies
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-based decision making
- Develop succession planning and technical leadership pipelines within the engineering
organization
A QUALIFIED CANDIDATE
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master’s Degree or MBA is highly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing industries ideally from semiconductor or optical
communications - Proficient in process improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing,
Six Sigma, Kaizen and TPM - Proficient in CAD software
