Manager, Customer Quality

Our client is an American-based MNC from the semiconductor industry. Currently looking for Customer Quality Engineering Manager to handle all customer quality issues and to manage the CQE team.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Act as subject matter expert on all customer quality matters
  • Lead failure analysis activities using 8D, 5 Why, and Fault Tree Analysis
  • Coordinate product containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions,
    and formal customer communications.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive customer-specific requirements (CSR) and support
    PPAP submissions, IMDS reporting, and applicable safety documentation.
  • Track, analyze, and report customer quality metrics such as PPM, NTF rates, and
    customer scorecards, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare for and lead customer quality audits, ensuring documentation, responses, and
    corrective actions meet customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage the supplier quality program for raw materials, wafers, packaging,
    and outsourced assembly and test services (OSATs).
  • Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments, driving corrective actions and
    improvement plans for non-conformances.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality
    requirements.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs, including quality performance and SCARs, and initiate corrective
    action plans as needed.
  • Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) process for supplier-related non-conformances
    and coordinate material disposition with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical feedback to suppliers based on inspection failures, incoming quality
    data, and process deviations.
  • Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plan reviews during new product
    development.
  • Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3
    assessment

 

A QUALIFIED CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of SQE and CQE working experience, ideally in Electronics, Semiconductor or
    PCBA manufacturing companies
  • Proficiency in 8D, FMEA, SPC and PPAP
  • Proficiency in statistical tools (Minitab, JMP)
  • ASQ-CQE is an added benefit
