Sourcing Specialist

Our client is a US-based manufacturer and they have more than 18 locations worldwide including their branch in Singapore. They are currently looking for Sourcing Specialist to lead supplier sourcing initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Identify, evaluate, and build a reliable supplier network for components and related
  materials
• Conduct market research and benchmark suppliers to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
• Create and execute sourcing strategies for critical categories, ensuring they meet
  business objectives and technical specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with both domestic and international
  suppliers.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives while maintaining required quality and performance
  standards.
• Safeguard supply continuity and mitigate risk through dual sourcing, reduced lead times,
  and optimized inventory levels.
• Support new product launches by engaging suppliers early in the development process.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure suppliers meet internal and industry
  compliance standards.
• Track and assess supplier performance using key indicators (on-time delivery, quality,
  responsiveness, etc.).
• Manage sourcing documentation such as RFQs, contracts, scorecards, and compliance
  records.
• Utilize ERP and sourcing systems to monitor purchasing data, analyze trends, and
  uncover improvement opportunities.
• This position includes occasional travel for supplier visits, industry events, and global
  sourcing activities
